  • (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2011 - MIAMI - Michele Ferrara, CPA and director in the Tax and Accounting Department at the nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF), was recently elected to the Financial Advisory Board of the City of Boca Raton.

    The Financial Advisory Board conducts ongoing, selective review of the City's annual budget and capital improvement programs. The board also reviews and makes recommendations on the rates and fees charged for City services. Members must have expertise applicable to municipal finance and are appointed for three-year terms.

She represents clients at the federal and state levels for income, gift and estate tax examinations.

    Ferrara is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Accountants as well as the Boca Raton Estate Planning Council and the Boca Raton Tax Institute. She has served as a sustaining member, past vice president of finance and past treasurer of the Junior League of Boca Raton and as a past member of the St. Jude School Association.

    She holds a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Furman University.
