- (1888PressRelease) August 14, 2017 - Michael Ehrenpreis, CPA/CFF, a principal in the Tax and Accounting Department of the New York office of nationally recognized public accounting firm MBAF, has been elected to the board of directors of Independent Living Association, Inc. (ILA) and Independent Living Association Case Management Services, Inc. (ILA CMS).
ILA is a non-profit organization that has provided long-term care services to intellectually challenged and/or developmentally disabled adults for over 30 years. The organization currently provides residential care to more than 240 adults in 40 residences and day habilitation services such as vocational training. ILA CMS assists more than 300 individuals and families with the coordination of their Medicaid services.
A member of the accounting profession for nearly four decades, Ehrenpreis has extensive experience managing tax strategies for high net worth individuals and their families. His clientele at MBAF also includes middle market clients, with a concentration in real estate and professional services companies. Ehrenpreis is skilled in all aspects of tax planning for high net worth and high earning individuals and businesses, including tax minimization strategies, wealth transfer techniques, retirement planning, private foundations and charitable giving. He also provides litigation consulting in a variety of financial investigations.
Ehrenpreis is also a dedicated member of his community. He is the past treasurer of Ramapo for Children, an organization providing services for special needs children and professional development for teachers and youth-service professionals. He was also a Committee member of the Capital Campaign for The Summit School from 2008 to 2009. Ehrenpreis is active in his community and is the treasurer of Chabad of Port Washington.
Ehrenpreis graduated cum laude from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
