Silver's speech, titled 'Fraud, Internal Controls & Forensic Accounting Techniques" took place on June 5, 2013.
The FICPA focuses on programming to enhance members' competency and professionalism; supports standards of independence, integrity and objectivity that also are in the public interest; promotes community involvement and monitors and actively participates in the public policy-making process.

He has served as an expert witness in trial, and has been involved with litigation cases of bankruptcy, business valuation, contractual disputes, and fraud.
Silver holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Florida State University and is a member of many professional organizations including the AICPA, FICPA, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and past president of the CPA Auto Dealers Consultants Association.
