MBAF's Brian Schlang Selected for Leadership Broward's Incoming Class
Schlang specializes in tax consultation for mid-market companies and high net worth individuals. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Planned Giving Council.
- (1888PressRelease) August 29, 2014 - Fort Lauderdale - Brian Schlang, CPA, a senior tax manager in the Tax and Accounting Department at nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF), was recently accepted into Leadership Broward Foundation, Inc.'s premier leadership development program, Leadership Broward, as part of the organizations' Class XXXIII.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Leadership Broward strives to prepare and connect leaders from the business and civic communities by enhancing participants' leadership skills, providing practical experience in community action, and facilitating opportunities for interaction with established community leaders. In the program's 32-year history, more than 2,500 leaders have completed the program and approximately 250 nonprofit community projects have been launched, translating to 14,000 volunteer hours per year.
"Brian is an emerging leader in our firm and his acceptance into the Leadership Broward program demonstrates his potential to be a community leader as well," said Ron Finkelstein, Principal-in-Charge of MBAF's Fort Lauderdale office. In 2013 he was named one of the Florida Institute of Public Accountants' Top 26 CPAs under the age of 26, and recently completed his one year term as Chair for the organization's Broward County Chapter. Brian holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
