MBAF's Alexander Binelo Appointed to Florida International University's Alumni Board of Directors and Healthcare MBA Advisory Council
Alexander Binelo, CPA, principal in the Audit Department and Healthcare Audit practice leader at MBAF, has been appointed to Florida International University's (FIU) Alumni Board of Directors and Healthcare MBA Advisory Council.
- (1888PressRelease) October 23, 2015 - MIAMI - Alexander Binelo, CPA, principal in the Audit Department and Healthcare Audit practice leader at MBAF, a nationally recognized public accounting firm, has been appointed to Florida International University's (FIU) Alumni Board of Directors and Healthcare MBA Advisory Council.
The FIU Alumni Association and Board of Directors aim to provide opportunities for FIU alumni, students, family and friends to support the University's key strategic initiatives, which include the revitalization and expansion of financial resources, achieving academic excellence, enhancing research and creative initiatives, and engaging the FIU community. As a member of the FIU Healthcare MBA Advisory Council, Binelo will help set the strategic direction of the Healthcare MBA program and provide insights on business trends, challenges, opportunities and needs in the industry.

With more than 10 years of experience in the accounting industry, Binelo specializes in auditing healthcare organizations under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as under accounting practices prescribed by State Offices of Insurance Regulation. His healthcare audit work includes various Health Maintenance Organizations, hospitals, and durable medical equipment companies, among others. In addition, Binelo has extensive experience in the audits of various retail, wholesale/distribution, and sports and entertainment organizations.
Binelo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Equally engaged in the community, Binelo serves as a board member of the Coral Gables Economic Development Board and the United Way of Miami-Dade Audit Committee. This year, Binelo was named to the South Florida Business Journal's 40 Under 40 list.
Binelo earned a Master of Science in Taxation and Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University.
