MBAF promotes Richard Weiss to Director
Weiss specializes in business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing studies and equity awards and share based payments, and has more than 18 years of experience in the field.
- (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2014 - MIAMI - Richard Weiss has been promoted to director in the Litigation and Business Valuation Department of nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF). Weiss is based in MBAF's Miami office. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.
As a director, Weiss practices business valuation and litigation support in several industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, mining, oil and gas, professional services firm, retail, technology and internet, airport FBOs, financial institutions, and wholesale and distribution.
"Over the past 18 years, Richard has honed his skills and developed his experience in the business valuation and litigation fields along with his impeccable client service," said Viresh Dayal, Head of Litigation Support. "He is a valuable asset to MBAF and his contributions are worthy of this recognition."
Prior to joining MBAF, Richard worked as a director for a Big 4 accounting firm's financial advisory services group where he spent much of his time serving large multi-national companies across variety of industries. Richard has extensive global leadership experience managing small and large teams on the valuation advisory engagements.
Weiss is a member of the American Society of Appraisers and the CFA institute. Weiss obtained an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Masters in Science from Istanbul Technical University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with Concentration in Finance and Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
