MBAF Promotes Michael Moss to Principal

- (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2012 - NEW YORK - Michael Moss, CPA, JD in the Tax and Accounting Department of nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF), has been promoted to principal. Based in MBAF's New York office, Moss previously served as a director in the firm's Tax and Accounting Department. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.
As a principal, his responsibilities include supervision of staff in tax preparation, accounting, tax planning, tax research and IRS and state tax controversies representation. He has broad experience working with corporations, entrepreneurs, family offices, high net worth individuals, nonprofit organizations and pension and profit sharing work.
"Michael has a strong skill set and is known for his impeccable client service," said Ira Rubenstein, principal-in-charge of the New York Region. "Michael is a valuable asset to the firm and his contributions are deserving of this recognition."
Moss specializes in corporate tax services, including planning, preparation, tax provisions, and IRS and state tax controversies. He has expertise in the development and implementation of financial plans, annual budgets, income and estate planning and general ledger accounting.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Moss is also a member of the American Bar Association, as well as the New York State, Connecticut and Florida Bar Associations. Moss attended Emory University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree and University of Miami School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.
