MBAF promotes Hernando Gomez to Director

- (1888PressRelease) September 04, 2014 - Hernando Gomez, MBA, MIB, has been promoted to director in the Management Advisory Services Department of the nationally recognized public accounting firm, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF). Gomez previously served as a senior manager, and is based at the firm's headquarters in Miami. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.
As a director, Gomez will provide clients with financial advisory services, including business valuations, financial modeling and forecasting, business planning, and mergers and acquisitions. His extensive knowledge spans a variety of practice areas, including automotive dealerships, construction, manufacturing, professional services firms, real estate and wholesale/distribution, among others.
"Hernando has dedicated himself to growing his expertise in business valuations and advisory services for both domestic and international clients, and his skill set and vast experience are impressive," said Viresh Dayal, Head of Litigation Support. Gomez is actively involved in civic organizations, serving as a Young Leader and a member of the Impact Counsel committee of United Way Miami Dade, a board member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's HYPE Committee and the chair of the GMCC Global Linkage committee, a committee member of the Association of Binational Chambers of Commerce, treasurer of BNI Platinum, treasurer of the Miami Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers, and founding member and treasurer of the Hong Kong Business Association of Florida, among other organizations. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the American Finance Association and a member candidate for the CFA institute's designation.
Gomez earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, specializations in finance and project management, and his Master in Business Administration from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. He also holds a Master in International Business from Florida International University.
