MBAF Grows Litigation and Valuation Division In New York

- (1888PressRelease) June 06, 2012 - MIAMI - Nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF) is expanding the capabilities of its New York Office's Management Advisory Services Department with the addition of Ted Felix, Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Accounting (DABFA), Charter Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Felix joins the firm as a principal in the Litigation and Valuation Division effective June 1, 2012. The announcement was made by Ira Rubenstein, CPA, Principal-in-Charge of the New York and Valhalla offices.
A seasoned New York City litigation professional, Felix has more than 40 years of experience working on a broad range of industries providing expert witness and litigation consulting services in federal and state courts and private arbitrations involving lost profits and other economic damages, forensic accounting and investigations, and accounting malpractice.

Before joining MBAF, Felix was managing partner of a regional accounting firm and had previously held the position of director of the Quality Control Review Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He previously served as an adjunct professor of accounting at Rutgers University and completed a two-year term as a trustee of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), charged with overseeing quality control, quality review, professional ethics and additional technical activities; he has also served as vice president of the NJSCPA.
Felix was a co-author of Warren Gorham & Lamont, Research Institute of America, SEC Compliance - Financial Reporting and Forms. He has written and lectured on the subject of quality control and peer review of CPA firms and has chaired a number of peer review teams for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the International Group of Accounting Firms. He has also authored articles for The Practical Accountant, CPA Journal, The Practicing CPA, The Micro Manager, Business and The PCPS Reporter, and he has appeared on the CPA Report video in the litigation support section.
He is licensed to practice public accounting in Florida, New Jersey, and New York, and is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting both from Long Island University.
