MBAF adds Kim Garcia as Director in the Risk Advisory Practice
Garcia joins MBAF with over 14 years of experience providing IT audit, internal audit co-sourcing and advisory services.
- (1888PressRelease) February 05, 2015 - MIAMI- Kim Garcia, CPA, CISA, has joined nationally recognized public accounting firm MBAF as a Director in the Risk Advisory Practice, focusing on Information Technology (IT) risk. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.
Garcia joins MBAF with over 14 years of experience providing IT audit, internal audit co-sourcing and advisory services. Throughout her career, she has served publicly-traded and privately-held companies ranging from small to Fortune 500 organizations with a focus on IT risk mitigation and prevention.
Specifically, Garcia served many companies in advisory and internal audit co-sourcing arrangements, managing several SSAE 16/SOC reviews for companies and conducting several process integrity and controls reviews during ERP implementations. In addition, Garcia has also worked with many public companies, including international and multi-location companies, on a number of IT audit-related projects to comply with the provisions of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and led numerous general controls reviews and application controls testing over IT and business processes.

Prior to joining MBAF, Garcia was an IT Risk senior manager at a Big Four accounting firm. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
Garcia earned a Master of Accounting in Information Systems Audit as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
