"We are delighted to welcome all Mazatlán Mazters to our beautiful city to see for themselves why Mazatlán is better than ever," says Carlos Berdegue, vice president, Mazatlán Hotel Association and Tourism Board. "Mazatlán is home to vibrant culture, fabulous cuisine, beautiful scenery, unique events and much more. This trip presents an exceptional value for travel professionals, and with the generous airfare subsidy, there's no better time to visit than now."
Extending the Mazatlán Mazters online training program, each three-night FAM tour will immerse participants in the many facets of this tourism hotspot, recently named Travelocity Mexico's "Best Family Beach Destination." Travel planners will experience a rich mix of authentic culture and premier tourism offerings in Mazatlán: golden-sand beaches; new cosmopolitan resorts; world-class spas; award-winning dining and culinary tours; renowned sportfishing; eco-adventures and scenic colonial town excursions. New growth and development will showcase Mazatlan's 25-acre, modern convention center, as well as a soon-to-open championship golf course designed by David Fleming.
"The Mazatlán Mazters program provides a unique online introduction to Mazatlán, allowing travel agents to log on and explore the destination virtually - at their own pace from anywhere in the world," Berdegue points out. "Now, through these FAM trips, program graduates will truly experience authentic Mazatlan firsthand, from a local's perspective."
October and November Mazatlán Mazters FAM Trips are open to all full-time travel agents who have completed the online study program and are current holders of a valid CLIA/IATAN card. The $99 USD trip registration fee covers the costs of enrollment; three-night, double occupancy accommodations in either the Five-Star or Gran Turismo category; scheduled meals, airport transfers and transportation; site visits and specialized tours. While participants are responsible for air travel arrangements, the destination is offering individual airfare subsidies ranging from $200 - $300, depending on travelers' city of origin. Rebate checks will be issued automatically within two weeks of the trip's completion. Group participants are asked to contribute a one-time $40 USD gratuity for the entire trip.
