Matrox KVM Extenders Now Compatible with EIZO 2Kx2K Air Traffic Control Display
Reliable, fanless design and zero compression, zero latency KVM extension make Matrox Avio and Extio ideal for ATC environments.
- (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2014 - MONTREAL - Matrox® Graphics Inc. today announced compatibility of Matrox Avio™ F125 and Matrox Extio™ F2408 KVM extenders with the EIZO Raptor SQ2804 2Kx2K primary control monitor for air traffic control. Matrox KVM extenders allow ATC workstations to be located in a different room than the control monitors, simplifying system maintenance and security. They feature reliable, fanless designs and the ability to transmit all signals with zero compression and zero latency on a single duplex LC-LC fiber-optic cable, making them ideal for ATC environments.
The Raptor SQ2804 monitor features EIZO eBlue LED backlight technology, offering outstanding image quality, low energy consumption, and a long lifetime. Two dual-link digital video signal inputs are included as standard and a DisplayPort™ input is available as an option.
When used with the EIZO display, Matrox Avio F125 fiber-optic KVM transmitter/receiver pairs extend dual-link DVI (2048x2048) video, audio, multiple high-speed USB 2.0 compliant devices, keyboard and mouse from the host computer by up to 400 m (1312 ft) over multimode cable and 10 km (6.25 mi) over single-mode cable.
Matrox Extio F2408 Quad KVM extenders separate keyboard, mouse, audio peripherals and up to four DisplayPort displays from the rest of the computer by up to 1 km (3280 feet) via fiber-optic cable and PCI Express® bus-extension technology.
"We have some cases where our customers in air traffic control need to isolate their computing resources in climate-controlled, secure server rooms," said Rob Hawksworth, International Business Development Manager for Air Traffic Control, at EIZO. "Matrox Avio and Extio provide the extension performance needed to drive the EIZO Raptor 2Kx2K monitors and other peripherals from a distance."
"Matrox KVM extenders pair beautifully with the ergonomically-designed EIZO Raptor displays to reduce environmental stress on operators," said Caroline Injoyan, Business Development Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. "In addition, ATC system integrators can count on the reliability, stability and longevity of the field-proven Matrox products to meet customer needs in these demanding installations."
