Matrix New World Engineering Welcomes Former District Chief Of Construction
Matthew Ludwig collaborates with outside agencies, military and congressional staffs.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2021 - Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) announced Matthew Alan Ludwig, PE, (Former District Chief of Construction, United States Army Corps Engineers, New York District) has officially joined the firm. Ludwig provides leadership to construction programs and acts as an agent for all construction matters. In addition, Ludwig drives change and creates policies to manage a diverse portfolio of work.
As the former Chief of Construction Division Ludwig led a diverse workforce as well as managed the district's construction program that annually placed $750 Million in construction. He oversaw the division's work activities through numerous offices spread throughout the New York District's AOR. This District spans outside the continental United States. Ludwig provided leadership to execute the mission while supporting the focus of the enterprise. Through this role, Ludwig drove change and created policies to manage the diverse portfolio of work.
Throughout his career, Ludwig has overseen military and civil works construction projects and has acted as liaison between the technical and administrative aspects of project management. He has held several supervisory roles where he ensured compliance to a wide range of plans and specifications.

Ludwig holds a MS, Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Moreover, he has received an array of licenses and certifications.
