About Bushwick Inlet Park Motiva Parcel
The Bushwick Inlet Park Motiva Parcel is a linear redevelopment designed to connect the Monitor Parcel to the north to the Bayside Parcel to the south. The proposed park enhancements include a waterfront esplanade with native landscaping, a sand beach area for launching kayaks, and benches, and other park amenities. The conversion of the existing site to parkland will require remediation efforts as well as shoreline stabilization and resiliency improvements. The shoreline resiliency measures include the use of a stone breakwater sill to attenuate wave action, and the creation of tidal wetlands and a living shoreline designed to restore native plant habitat and increasing wildlife biodiversity.
