Ludwig, P.E.; Director of Federal Services and Karen Ashton, P.E.; Federal Services Program Manager, the firm will continue to grow its services by maintaining their diverse work environment while increasing their capability of handling multiple different projects.

About Matthew A. Ludwig, P.E.; Director of Federal Services
Matthew Ludwig is a highly experienced construction program manager and Professional Engineer with more than 23 years of experience. Mr. Ludwig is a proven leader, having risen through the ranks of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New York District, ultimately attaining the rank Supervisory Chief of the Construction Division.
He has held leaderships positions within USACE both domestically and abroad and is adept at managing and overseeing complex projects and programs. Under his guidance, USACE construction programs have placed hundreds of millions of dollars into the construction and engineering industrites. Mr. Ludwig specializes in programs related to geotechnical, and remediation projects, and vertical construction but is highly adaptable and capable of leading teams across a variety of disciplines.
Throughout his career, Ludwig has overseen military and civil works construction projects and has acted as liaison between the technical and administrative aspects of project management. He has held several supervisory roles where he ensured compliance to a wide range of plans and specifications.
Ludwig holds a MS, Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Moreover, he has received an array of licenses and certifications.
About Karen Ashton, P.E.; Federal Services Program Manager
Karen Ashton is a highly experienced construction program manager, Civil Works planner, remediation subject matter expert and Professional Engineer with more than 21 years of experience. Ashton is a proven leader, having risen through the ranks of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New York District, ultimately attaining the rank of Deputy Chief of the Construction Division for New York District.
She has held leaderships positions within USACE both in Construction and Civil Works planning and is adept at managing and overseeing complex projects and programs. Under her guidance, USACE construction programs have placed hundreds of millions of dollars into the construction and engineering industries annually.
Ashton brings her knowledge of supervision and construction management, quality assurance, contract administration, as well as an expertise with a multitude of policies and programs. Throughout her career, Ashton has amassed an array of certifications, recognitions, and honors.
