Matrix Is Recognized By New Jersey Alliance For Action
Florham Park based full-service engineering and environmental services firm to work on "New Jersey's Leading Infrastructure Projects”.
- (1888PressRelease) February 22, 2018 - Florham Park, NJ – On Thursday, February 15th, Matrix New World Engineering, Inc. (Matrix), was recognized as a partner on this $1.2 billion Bergen-Linden Corridor Upgrade project. The ceremony was held at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township, NJ. Accepting for Matrix was Robert J. Meisner, PE, LSRP, Director, LSRP Services.
To prevent future devastation, as was seen with Superstorm Sandy in 2012, this project will allow for the installation of duplicate circuits and the upgrading of power for each of the circuits. Matrix has been tasked with the environmental work for this new transmission system as well as the management of waste products.
According to Jayne Warne, PE, President, “Matrix was heavily involved with the restoration of the Jersey shore and other areas affected by Sandy – we are extremely gratified to be part of a project that ensures significant measures are taken to stop this from happening in the future.”
This investment is for the building of a new transmission system from Ridgefield to Linden which will increase reliability, eliminate anticipated transmission constraints, respond to mandated infrastructure expansion plans and replace the current lines that were installed close to 100 years ago. Special care will be taken to run the project through marshland and rivers, past highways and bridges and through one of the most densely populated regions on the Eastern Seaboard. For this reason, the Bergen-Linden Transmission Line upgrade is one of "New Jersey's Leading Infrastructure Projects."
