- (1888PressRelease) May 06, 2011 - Teachers, students, and parents from public, private, and home schools who are 13+ are invited to enter the 2011 "Beautiful Classroom" Photo Contest sponsored nationwide and locally by Math Concentration. McDowell says, "When I started teaching, I had no clue how to setup my classroom and make it conducive to learning. I spent countless hours outside of work browsing the Internet for ideas and found nothing." The theme for the contest, Beautiful Classroom, is the solution to this problem. "Reading an idea is one thing, but the ability to see that idea come to life is beautiful."
The 2011 contest encourages teachers, students, and parents to share photos of math classrooms that will give new teachers ideas on how to set up theirs.
