Material Witnesses: Manhattan Quilters Guild Exhibits at Abington Art Center
The Manhattan Quilters Guild will be on view at Abington Art Center from March 29 to May 13, 2012. This exhibition is one of 40 that is a part of FiberPhiladelphia 2012.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) April 04, 2012 - As one of 40 venues set to exhibit this spring, Abington Art Center will collaborate with FiberPhiladelphia to host the Manhattan Quilters Guild (New York) from March 29 to May 13, 2012. FiberPhiladelphia is an international biennial and regional festival for innovative fiber/textile art featuring renowned international artists and a new generation of artists breaking into the field.
On view will be the work of Ludmila Aristova, Teresa Barkley, Benedicte Caneill, Beth Carney, Randy Frost, Iris Gowen, Luke Haynes, Tatiana Ivina, Katherine Knauer, Emiko Toda Loeb, Ruth Marchese, Paula Nadelstern, Elizabeth Poole, Jeri Riggs, Diana Goulston Robinson, Robin Schwalb, Arlé Sklar-Weinstein, Daphne Taylor, Ludmila Uspenskaya, Erin Wilson, and Adrienne Yorinks.
A public reception and opening party will be held on Sunday, April 1 from 3-5pm with free admission.
