Martin Laumond Brings his Unique Sound To Emergenza
Martin Laumond has registered to perform at the Gibus during Emergenza!
- (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2013 - Born in Chamonix Mont Blanc, Martin Laumond had an early passion for the guitar. By the time he was 12 he was part of a band as the lead singer and guitarist. He never looked back.
He toured France and Australia for over ten years with different bands. During that time period he had the opportunity to work under the French composer Eric Serra, with whom he composed the sound tracks for movies and shows for international productions.
In 2013 Martin's inner desire to go solo was to strong to ignore. Martin writes all of his songs. He has taken advantage of the diversity of travelers that Chamonix offers and has help mold the music culture there.
His first album "1181" is packed full of energetic and deep emotional ballads. He lists Radio Head, Pearl Jam, Jeff Buckley, Reef, Massive Attack, Zero7, Fink, Elbow, The Dave Mathews Band, The John Butler Trio, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd as influences.
Laumond will take to the stage at the France's Gibus on September 18, 2013 to compete in Emergenza.
Emergenza is the worlds rock festival for up and coming rock unsigned rock bands. It holds events in more than 150 cities around the globe. The festival is held in knockout rounds. Bands take to the stage for 30 minute sets. The first rounds are decided by the attending audience. The vote is open and the audience can vote as many times as they want and for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a professional jury panel of judges.
