Martial Arts Summer Camp For North Fulton And East Cobb At Roswell Budokan Offers Aikido And Cultural Arts For Students

Roswell Budokan, a not for profit entity dedicated to improvement through training in the Martial and Cultural Arts, is offering a Weekly Summer Camp Program starting June 2nd. End Quote

Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) May 01, 2008 - Aikido, “The Way of Peace,” is a fun, dynamic martial art that focuses on self control and discipline. It is primarily for self defense and uses a series of throws, locks and pins to neutralize an attacker. Unlike other Martial Arts Aikido does not teach punishing attacks and counters that are designed to injure an attacker. All training is done with in a co-operative learning environment under the direction of Certified Instructors.

Two Sessions are available each day, Monday through Friday. A Full Day session begins at 7:30 am and continues through until 5:30 pm. Half Day sessions begin at 9:30 and continue until 3:30.

Students will focus on basic Aikido techniques that teach movement, balance, timing and patience. These new found skills can be easily transported to daily life and other sporting activities such as football, basketball and wrestling. Also offered during the week will be Japanese Cultural Arts such as Origami, Dance, Language and Co-operative Sports and Games. There will also be special instruction in Yoga and Aerobics for children.

Roswell Budokan is a state of the art facility within easy reach of Campers from East Cobb County, Northern Fulton County and especially students from the Roswell, Woodstock and Alpharetta, Georgia. The facility offers a diversity of padded and hardwood open training areas plus a number of classrooms, kitchenette and locker facilities.
