Personal Mastery Martial Arts and iLoveKickboxingSandy hosted a customer appreciation open house weekend at the beginning of June to say thank you to all of their wonderful members, hosting a number of free events open to the public.
- Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT (1888PressRelease) June 12, 2013 - On Friday May 31st and Saturday June 1st, Personal Mastery Martial Arts and iLoveKickboxingSandy hosted a customer appreciation and open house weekend featuring many free events for members of the studio and others in the community. The open house weekend capped off a month of customer appreciation where students were able to invite friends in for free classes. The weekend included events for children and adults, ranging from a movie night for the kids to free self defense courses.
One of the participants, Joel Calderon, said, "I learned a lot of new techniques and enjoyed it. I learned how to defend myself."
Personal Mastery Martial Arts has been in business for 17 years. They are a family oriented martial arts school that focuses on leadership development, confidence, goal setting, and self discipline. On top of that, they also have a top-notch Kickboxing program and great self defense curriculum for their martial arts students.
The self defense courses over the open house weekend focused on tactical concepts of defense and were taught by Utah's leading safety expert, Brett Lechtenberg. Participants learned how to defend themselves from hair grabs, chokes, and even being attacked by someone with a knife. The participants came away from the courses feeling a lot more prepared to defend themselves and with a better understanding of what will actually work in a self defense situation.
Courtney Dickinson said about the self defense course she attended, "I really enjoyed the women's self defense class. It was informative and realistic. The instruction was easy to follow and the moves were easy to do. I enjoyed trying each one out."
Over the weekend, other free events included a parent coaching seminar, a kid's movie night, and a children's safety seminar. The children's safety seminar, called "Know and Go," was taught by Master Instructor Mike Jones. The course focused on teaching children to be more aware of what is going on around them to avoid potentially dangerous situations and also taught them what to do if they do find themselves in a situation they need to get out of.
The staff of Personal Mastery Martial Arts and iLoveKickboxingSandy hosted a number of free events for people of all ages - teaching them how to enhance their training and defend themselves, all while having fun in a safe and open atmosphere. Everyone who attended the open house weekend had a very positive and informative experience.
