Markus Krebber appointed CFO of RWE Supply & Trading
Dr. Markus Krebber has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of RWE Supply & Trading with effect from 1 November 2012. He will succeed
- (1888PressRelease) July 07, 2012 - Dr. Bernhard Günther, who currently has a dual responsibility as Member of the Board of RWE AG and CFO of RWE Supply & Trading.
RWE AG Chief Commercial Officer, Dr. Leonhard Birnbaum, said:” I am delighted to bring Markus Krebber on board as new CFO of RWE Supply & Trading, as he has extensive experience in all aspects of finance combined with a strong banking background. In addition, his proven track record in change process management will be invaluable in today’s rapidly changing energy markets.”
Markus Krebber (39) is currently Head of Group Finance at Commerzbank, Germany´s second largest bank. In this function he is responsible for financial accounting, controlling, tax and regulatory reporting in the Commerzbank Group.
Through to the completion of the integration of Dresdner Bank, as Head of Group Integration, he was responsible for the bank-wide management and implementation of the integration of Commerzbank and Dresdner Bank.
Markus Krebber joined Commerzbank in 2005 and was initially employed in various functions in the private customer business, most recently as the segment’s Chief Operating Officer.
He began his career with a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank. After studying business administration and economics in Germany and the USA, he worked for the management consultancy McKinsey & Co. for five years. During this period he also completed his doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
Markus Krebber is married and has three children.
