  • (1888PressRelease) May 26, 2017 - Toronto, Canada - AMG Visuals, the burgeoning film division of Canadian indie media outfit AMG, announced today that they have acquired all international broadcast and theatrical rights to Jim Kuehnel's THE PITCH from Arrowfoot Films in Saint John, New Brunswick. The film presently in post, will have its world premiere in Toronto at select theatres in September. The deal will excite offshore distributors who now have a meaty project to heat up the TIFF week.

    "The Pitch" takes a look at the world of international street performing buskers to find out why these men and women have chosen to "pass the hat" to make a living, along with the challenges they face. The fast-tracked project was filmed over summers of 2015 and 2016 documenting busker performances and interviews during the 25th and 26th edition of the Buskers on The Bay Festivals. Buskers featured in the film hail from Australia, England, the US and Canada, providing a broad spectrum of performers. The film is being produced by Jim Kuehnel for Arrowfoot with Mark Berry and Duane Farley at AMG Visuals as Executive Producers. Sony Entertainment is handling North American and international broadcast distribution.

    On board with music, soundtrack input is AMG Creative, providing music licensing support of its vast multi-genre catalogue to the films soundtrack, distributed through SONY Music and Spotify internationally.
