Marc Schwartz Awarded for His Lifetime Achievement
Houston's Marc Schwartz Awarded for 25 Years As A Certified Fraud Examiner.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2014 - Hill Schwartz Spilker Keller (HSSK) is proud to announce that one of their founders, Marc Schwartz, was awarded The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Lifetime Achievement by the Houston chapter of the ACFE.
On September 17th, during the 25th Anniversary Awards Dinner hosted by the Houston Area ACFE at the Hess Club, Marc was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 25 years of service to the anti-fraud profession.
President and CEO of the ACFE, James Ratley, CFE was the keynote speaker at the event. Ratley detailed the founding of the ACFE and the future of the organization and Houston Chapter. The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organization. The Houston Chapter's mission is to provide a platform of information as well as contribute to the body of knowledge in fraud and provide basic fraud examination education.
Marc Schwartz has been a Certified Fraud Examiner and member of the ACFE Houston's chapter since 1989. He joined the organization soon after it was founded. In addition to assisting clients in performing due diligence and negotiating business purchases in the banking, petrochemical, refining, heavy equipment manufacturing and electric and water utility industries, he has been active in detecting fraud and assisting in the prosecution, both civilly and criminally, of those responsible. Since he entered into practice in 1974, he has worked with clients of all sizes in the petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, publishing, airline, retail and finance industries. His main areas of practice include financial forensics and bankruptcy and reorganization consulting.
