Marc Penziner to Speak on the "Investor's Mindset" at SUNY Ulster
Bernstein Global Wealth Management Financial Advisor-Principal Marc Penziner will share perspectives on "The Investor's Mindset: How Our Nature Influences Our Investment Decisions" on March 19 at SUNY Ulster.
- Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, NY (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2013 - Penziner will look at how decision making affects the investment choices people make and the impact those choices have on the market and investment outcomes. Drawing on work by behavioral psychologists and economists, Penziner will address the lessons investors can learn about handling risk and how to become a better investor, even during very challenging times in the capital markets.
Penziner's breakfast lecture is part of the Howard C. St. John Distinguished Lecture Series presented by the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. The program will begin at 7:30 a.m. at.
Focused on the upstate New York market, Penziner works with high-net-worth investors, both in the U.S. and abroad. He specializes in retirement planning, the preparation and sale of privately-held businesses, and the spending policy and asset allocation guidelines of endowments and foundations.
Prior to assuming his current position in 2009, he was a client advisor, having joined the firm in 2003 as a private client associate. Previously, Penziner was an account executive for Katz Media Corp. in New York City and Washington, D.C., with a focus on national and local political campaigns. He holds a bachelor's degree in media management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he was a Chancellor's Scholar. He is the Treasurer of the Professional Development Council of the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University, serves on the board of the Syracuse University Alumni Association, and is a Syracuse University Pathfinder.
