Marc Mondavi Chosen as Honorary Chair for the 34th Annual Harvest in the Vineyards Benefit Auction
The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council, Boy Scouts of America has chosen Marc Mondavi, as Honorary Chair for its 34th Annual Benefit auction, to be held on Sat. Nov.2, 2013, at The Meritage Resort and Spa, 875 Bordeaux Way, Napa, CA. Marc is the eldest son of Peter and Blanche Mondavi and grandson of Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, the Napa Valley winemaking pioneers.

Marc Mondavi is the eldest son of Peter and Blanche Mondavi and grandson of Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, the Napa Valley pioneers who purchased the historic Charles Krug winery in 1943. As co-proprietor with his brother Peter, Jr., he works closely with their father, Peter Sr. on issues of strategic importance, including stewardship of all the winery's brands.
A point of pride with Marc is the double-digit growth of the winery's value-priced brand, CK Mondavi over the past four years. The Harvest in the Vineyards Benefit Auction has raised over $1 million dollars in support of Scouting programs in its thirty-three years. The Mount Diablo Silverado Council develops and supports the programs of the Boy Scouts of America, Contra Costa, Lake, Napa and Solano counties to serve nearly 13,000 youth annually.
