  • (1888PressRelease) February 23, 2011 - Marbrerie Rouillon works exclusively with natural stone, blending traditional building stone, marble and granite with 21st-century techniques. Its creations take into account the relationship between the customer, the designer, and the stonemason, from the simplest of projects to the most ambitious ones. Such projects include pillars, fountains, fireplaces, Saracen vault staircases and cloisters.

From the beginning of the design process, Marbrerie Rouillon researches customers' requirements in order to create a bespoke product. In doing so, Marbrerie Rouillon puts its proven experience and expertise in stonecutting and stonemasonry into the customer's hands. Projects are designed and shaped using a combination of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship.

The stonemason's role is not just to carve the stone but, more importantly, to learn exactly what the customer wants, creating a harmony between customer and craftsman. The result is a beautiful work of art.

For generations, Marbrerie Rouillon has worked for private individuals and on large-scale projects for a varied list of clients. The company has a proven track record of excellence, illustrating its savoir-faire.

One example is an orangery, dominated by two stone sinks (two metres in diameter each), for the Chateau Madrid in the seaside resort of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, in southeastern France. Marbrerie Rouillon has also designed and built a private cloister in the Massif Central, in central France, as well as a summer residence for the Dutch royal family.

In the case of the Domaine du Grand Chaumont winegrowing estate in southern France, the company took care of the design and creation of the entrance, farmhouse, hunting lodge, pool house and fountains.

Among other significant projects, Marbrerie Rouillon has designed and created a luxury villa in the Ukraine, as well as a number of projects for public-sector clients, including the restoration of a handmade curved balustrade in Marseille (in south-eastern France).

Marbrerie Rouillon's philosophy, the company explains, is based on a passion for the trade that encourages the production of high-quality work, which clients can be proud of - so that, by the end of the project, once it has been completed, both client and contractor can delight in the result that has been achieved.
