Mapped Travel surpasses 2000 Points of Interest
Mapped Travel, the free, map-based travel community now contains more than 2000 entries in cities around the world.
- (1888PressRelease) May 05, 2011 - Following a month of heavy activity on the Mapped Travel website with the addition of dozens of new cities the count of points of interest available to users for free has now surpassed 2000, making it easier than ever to plan a trip by compiling a personalized guidebook.
Additions have been taking place in cities all over the world, but the main ones are Havana, Kolkata and Seoul which alongside Istanbul, Cairo, Dresden, Paris, Aswan and Chisinau are already as complete as regular travel guides.

Mapped Travel is a free community maintained travel guide where any user can supply points of interest. These are entered into the site's custom interface which ensures that the location for each is set and that fellow travelers can find the location again on the map.
