A U.S and Mexico citizen, President Maria Elena Rigoli is personally dedicated to joining two countries together in successful business practices.

Maria Elena has been personally involved in the start-up and management of 125 international manufacturing facilities in Mexico and she continues to provide leadership at Collectron, the original shelter program, to help the U.S. and other countries establish manufacturing facilities in Mexico.
Maria Elena's experience in the maquiladora industry, combined with her Mexican-American heritage, provides the ideal background to work with an international manufacturing clientele, aiding trade relations in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) bloc by keeping American companies competitive in the global marketplace.
After joining Collectron, Maria Elena advanced to the position of president within seven years through hard work and continued learning - a result of her upbringing with loving parents and her father's focus on traditional values.
"My father taught me independence, the importance of preparing for unforeseen challenges and, above all, the importance of integrity and honesty," said Maria Elena. "Being the eighth of nine children taught me that confidence, independence and patience will help you grow."
Maria Elena is the first woman to be named Businessperson of the Year by the State of Sonora in 2007 and to be recognized as one of 2010's 50 Most Powerful Women in Mexico by CNN Expansión Magazine. She has the cross-cultural understanding vital to the transfer of technology and business plans making Collectron's shelter program accessible and successful to clients.
A strong believer in education and in the growth of the individual, Maria Elena is the President of the Technical University of Sonora (Tech School), which trains many technicians for the maquila industry. In an increasingly more technical world, Mexico has become more technology-oriented, which includes improved environmental resource management. She has spread the importance of recycling through a project she developed within the State of Sonora, Mexico called "Reciclarte," a creative art project that encourages thousands of elementary students to clean-up their city through fun competition.
