Australian managed cloud services success story TETRAN has appointed former Macquarie Telecom general manager Gavin Kawalsky as Chief Operations Officer to fast track the company's aggressive growth strategy globally.
- (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2015 - Sydney : Effective immediately, Gavin will be responsible for all operational aspects of TETRAN.
Gavin's appointment comes hot on the heels of the launch of TETRAN PTE Limited in Singapore earlier this year, and record year on year growth of 50 percent for 2014 and 2015.
"We have recently established our business in Singapore and plan to expand operations in 2016," explained TETRAN's CEO Don Francis. "We are delighted to have Gavin on our leadership team to fuel the growth agenda. His appointment is the culmination of a significant investment in talent and with the advent of Cloud, the new emerging operational service model to meet the needs and expectations of our growing client base. Gavin will play a key role in expanding our services, increasing efficiencies and continuing to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty."
Prior to Macquarie, Gavin co-founded and led BlueFire Corporation, now a Dimension Data company. He specialises in building high performing teams, enhancing organisational maturity, sophistication and core capabilities.
Gavin was attracted to TETRAN because of the fast growth, customer empathy, a human culture, servicing model, innovative product set and culture of progressive operational innovation. Gavin holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management as well as a BE Hons Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
In a major client win, TETRAN was recently selected by the Barangaroo Delivery Authority to deploy a Public Wi-Fi network for the new Barangaroo Reserve. This Wi-Fi Network spans over 6 hectares and provides high end connectivity.
Also announced today, TETRAN has signed an agreement with The Fred Hollows Foundation that will deliver a Global Service Desk to the charity's locations across 24 countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East including Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, UAE, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and Australia.
