Monterey's premier tanning salon is hosting a "Tans for Cans" food drive, offering clients major discounts on services in return for their donation to local hunger-related charity The Food Bank For Monterey County.

By bringing five or more non-perishable cans of food to Malibu by the Sea, customers will receive $5.00 off any tanning service during that visit including spray tans between September 1 - December 31, 2012.

The Food Bank for Monterey County is a certified Feeding America food bank, it is the largest supplier of emergency food in Monterey County, serving 1 in 5 low-income Monterey County residents (90,000 different people) with 6 million pounds of food annually.
