Malaysia's Printing Industry Has Huge Potential-SinoFoldingCarton 2014 Taps Into Malaysian Market
On October 25, 2013, representatives from Reed Exhibitions, organizers of SinoFoldingCarton 2014 arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the third leg of their SE Asian promotional tour.
- (1888PressRelease) December 31, 2013 - The Reed delegation used their time in Malaysia to visit with Koay Hean Beow, Chairman of the Malaysia Printers Association (MPA) and update him on preparations for SinoFoldingCarton 2014. The parties also discussed cooperation for the event.
Mr. Beow announced that, thanks to consistent upgrades of printing technologies, the printing industry has become an irreplaceable mainstay of the global economy. Currently, the total annual output of the world's three largest paper mills is about 45 million tons. Such a substantial figure is proof that the printing industry is in no danger of ever dying out, neither in Malaysia nor in any other part of the world. The printing industry has become one of Malaysia's five pillar industries, with the third highest turnover of all the country's industries, with an output value of over USD 3 billion. There are 3,162 printing-related enterprises registered with Malaysia's Ministry of Home Affairs. Most of these are in towns, cities and commercial centers - over half of them in Kuala Lumpur. In recent years, keeping with the country's economic development, Malaysia's printing industry has continued to grow. Packaging printing, in particular, has seen the most significant growth momentum.
The MPA is a service system dedicated to improving the country's printing industry. It focuses on promoting and protecting sustained and stable industry development. It also represents the industry's general interest, as well as those of its member companies. Mr. Beow affirmed that SinoFoldingCarton is viewed a leading post-printing exhibition and that he will actively recommend to members of his association. He also pledged to organize a delegation to visit the 2014 event. Vigorous promotion in Malaysia's printing market, combined with the key influence of the MPA, will highlight the importance of SinoFoldingCarton and boost its popularity in the Southeast Asian printing communities. Such a move will also enhance cooperation and exchange between the printing industries of China and Malaysia.
SinoFoldingCarton will be held alongside SinoCorrugated South from April 10-12, 2014, at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan. Demand for exhibition booths has been enthusiastic, surpassing all expectations - to the extent that exhibition space in the third hall has already sold out. The event has therefore been expanded across an additional three halls (Halls 4, 5 and 6), making the total area of the event 60,000 sqm. Over 600 exhibitors are expected to showcase their latest products and technologies to at least 26,000 trade visitors from the Asia-Pacific Region. Many well-known local and international corrugated equipment manufacturers will promote their most competitive products here at the show. A number of well-known printing manufacturers including BHS, EMBA, FOSBER, HP, Taiwan Xiexu and Taiwan Yueli have registered to showcase their newest products and solutions.
