Mahindra World City, Jaipur's IT/ITES zone bolstered by Wipro Ltd

The IT/ITES zone of Mahindra World City (MWC), Jaipur, a Special Economic Zone reaches another milestone with Wipro Ltd. The Indian technology giant has recently announced to commence development of its site at Mahindra World City, Jaipur. In order to commence the operations at the earliest Wipro will begin operations with 200 people in the 'Evolve Technology Park' within IT/ITES Zone of Mahindra World City, Jaipur after obtaining statutory approvals while they develop their own campus. This was informed by Mr V R Ganesh, Head - Real Estate, Wipro Ltd. and Mr Niranjan, Head-Civil Infrastructure, Wipro Ltd. who visited Mahindra World City, Jaipur on 26th August 2010.

The IT zone of MWC, Jaipur is already operational with more than 2200 people (direct+indirect) working in the city. 35 companies have already signed-up with MWCJ which includes names like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Deutsche Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Nucleus Software, Nagarro Software, EXL, Connexions, Truworth, Girnar Soft, QH Talbros, Dynamic Cables, Poly Medicure, Genus, Knit Pro, etc.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Sunil Arora, Principal Secretary - Industries, Government of Rajasthan said, "We welcome Wipro to the knowledge city of Jaipur and it is heartening to know note that one of the biggest IT companies of India is planning to set up state-of-the-art IT development center in Jaipur shortly."
