MADSA Gets New Council

  • (1888PressRelease) August 22, 2017 - James Pereira, the General Manager of the Malaysian Dietary Supplement Association announced that during the AGM held on 17 August 2017, a new Council was elected for the 2017 and 2018 terms.

    The new Council's line up is as follows:
    President - Muthu Shanmunghom
    Vice-President - Cheng Mun Wai
    Secretary - Yeoh Hui Min
    Treasurer - Chris Ang
    Committee Members - Wong Ee Fern, Steven Chin and Yap Lai Fong.

    The Council Members were elected from the 20 Member companies that were present for the AGM.

    MADSA has 28 members and this signifies a consistent increase in the membership since 2015. MADSA members represent MLM, retail and ingredients manufacturers. Some are home grown companies and others are MNCs.

    The new Council is eager to execute plans to engage and assist the authorities in the drive to professionalize pharmacy practice as well as medical practice in Malaysia as outlined in the National Medicines Policy 2016 (Term 2).

    About MADSA
    The Malaysian Dietary Supplement Association was created in 2004 with the aim of advancing the interests of the dietary supplements industry in Malaysia. It also pursues awareness of the public on the health benefits of supplements. Its members consist of local and foreign manufacturers and marketers.
