PALM4 program combined high quality content, presented by renowned speakers. Participants were given the opportunity to discuss case studies relevant to their professional activities and to the regional context; enabling them to be exposed, to new concepts, approaches and practices. PALM 4 speakers and facilitators included academics & business leaders from Harvard Business School, Stanford University, Columbia University, IE Business School, IESE Business School, Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, IMD, Ulker, KPMG, Arab Contractors, Aramex, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Al-Zamil Group and Achieve Global. All represented organizations and institutions were unified in the goal of PALM4, which is to develop and propose solutions to a wide range of pressing issues and challenges in leadership by empowering and engaging the participants while connecting them to businesses and organizations, locally and globally.
PALM 4 was specifically designed to meet the needs of senior executives from the region by covering critical areas of Strategy, Operations, Scenario Planning, Innovation, Marketing and Talent Management. Participants were given exposure to numerous structured case studies to discuss, present and run real time simulations to take on spot decisions. One-On-One coaching sessions with consultants were also arranged for their psychometric assessments, public media speaking and social media marketing strategies.
As part of the program a one day conference entitled "Meet The Business Leaders" in Madinah was held at Dewan-Al- Marifah¸ Knowledge Economic City - Madinah. The conference featured Keynote speakers namely Mr. Osman Ahmed of Global Head-Strategic Alliances Siemens Abu Dhabi, Mr. Ali Ulker, Vice Chairman of Ulker Group Turkey, Mr. Khalid Al-Zamil of Al Zamil Group, Mr. Samih Darwaza, Chairman of Hikma Pharmaceuticals Jordan, Dr. Walid Fakieh, CEO of International Medical Center KSA, Mr. Omer Saeed, CEO of Servis Industries Pakistan and Mr. Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Managing Director A.K. Khan & Co Bangladesh, and were invited for panel discussions. The conference was moderated by Mr. Bill Connor, Principal Oratorio Media& Presentation Company USA, Dr. Farhat Ali, Dean CTO Institute Stanford School of Business, Dr. Alexander Van De Putte, IE Business School, Dr. Basil Mustafa, Said Business School Oxford University and Dr. Kamel Jedidi of Columbia Business School USA.
During the program, participants also got an opportunity to have field trips around Madinah. In addition to visiting a number of historical sites and mosques, they also attended an exclusive guided tour of the haram (the mosque of the prophet Mohamed (PBUH), a rare opportunity for all of them to learn about the operational mechanism of the grand mosque, both from logistical operations to managing high tech advanced audio and temperature control systems.
