M.A. Hadi Live Reading Of Poetry And Book Excerpt
M.A. Hadi will be performing a reading of his newly published book, and some poetry. This event is scheduled to take place at the ICCL in London.
- (1888PressRelease) November 05, 2012 - London - The Author and Poet M.A. Hadi will be performing a reading from his recently published book (The Shining Serpent) and from some of his poetry on the 10th of November. The event is scheduled to take place at the ICCL (Iraqi Cultural Centre London) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The event will conclude with a Q&A session with the author.
"I believe that stories and poetry originated as tales told orally, and that they are traditions that have been preserved through the ages. There is nothing quite like hearing the words come from the authors own lips, events such as this are nearly always accompanies with a unique atmosphere filled with mystery and reflection."
The Shining Serpent by M.A. Hadi is a tale taking place within the backdrop of a post Saddam Iraq. Set within the chaos of the American-Iraq 2003 invasion, The Shining Serpent follows the story of Sarah as she makes her way through the chaotic violence of Baghdad to find her lost son.
Come and enjoy the atmospheric excursion into the depths of the authors mind. Within this evening you will be taken through a journey of discovery, with poetry ranging from the topics of the Iraq war, to the authors own profound thoughts. The event will be free, and there will be refreshments available.
