- (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2014 - This September 26, 2014, culinary delights from the Hawaiian range take the spotlight at the "Taste of the Hawaiian Range and Agricultural Festival" happening at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Big Island, Hawaii.
At the event, guests can partake in sumptuous dishes featuring different kinds of grass-fed meat that the island is famous for, such as beef, pork, lamb, goat, mutton and wild boar complemented by freshly-picked local fruits, vegetables, and spices. The treats will be prepared by many top chefs based in the Aloha State, 30 of whom have already confirmed their participation.
Aside from being able to embark on an unforgettable island food adventure featuring pasture-raised meat, visitors to the Taste of Hawaiian Range and Agricultural Festival can also get a glimpse of the laidback life on the Big Island, as local farmers, ranchers, and restaurateurs gathered for the event. Local food producers will also be available at colorful vendor booths to cater to prospective patrons.
Last year, the fest was attended by over 2,000 people who lined up at 35 food stations to sample all kinds of beef cuts, from tongue to tail. In addition, 36 product/educational displays presented locally-produced goodies, from granola and heirloom squash, to smoothies and honey.
Tickets are being sold in various locations throughout the Big Island, especially at restaurants and cafes in Hilo, Waimea, and Kailua-Kona, for $45 until September 25, and $60 on the day of the event. Some will also be given away through the Taste of the Hawaiian Range Facebook and Twitter pages. Interested parties may also call (808) 969-8228, or visit http://www.TasteOfTheHawaiianRange.com.
