This exciting event showcases the traditional Bavarian beer festival held yearly in Germany. The Oktoberfest in Manila is considered as the only authentic Bavarian festival in the Philippines because it features Bavarian food and beverage that highlights the classic German folk festivals and traditions.
This year also marks the 201st year of the Oktoberfest. In line with that, Sofitel Manila celebrates this momentous event in its extravagant Harbor Garden Tent, which showcases a breathtaking natural resort setting to amplify the spirit of the Oktoberfest 2011 celebration. To adhere with the authentic Bavarian festival, the Harbor Garden Tent is decorated in Bavarian colors, white and blue, and will be set up with authentic Oktoberfest tables and benches to surely provide a festive beer garden setting. The tent-turned-Oktoberfest village showcases ladies in dirndls and gents in lederhosen going around to add to the German style inspired Oktoberfest event. Bavarian delights are prepared such as fresh roasted pork knuckles, roasted calf, laugen rolls, grilled sausages and mouth-watering pastries; paired with refreshing, ice cold beer free flowing for everyone. Lastly, The Bavarian Sound Express, well-known from previous Oktoberfests in Manila, adds more delight to the celebration as they keep guests dancing and singing along with their music all throughout the night.
The Oktoberfest Manila 2011 starts tonight at 6pm to 12mn, until October 22. On October 23, 2011, from 10:30am to 2pm, Family day, guests will be entertained with inflatable bouncing castles, magicians, face painters and other fun games while enjoying their Sunday Brunch. Also, for guests celebrating the Oktoberfest, there are special overnight accommodation rates offered on these dates.
