Lutz Hansen To Explain The International RFI-RFQ Process At NAFA's Global Fleet Conference
Many of the top global fleet managers in the world will be faculty members for NAFA's 3rd Annual International Fleet Academy this October.
- (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2013 - Imagine creating a global fleet perspective that increases efficiency, reduces costs, and saves your corporation millions. That's exactly what happened with Bayer Business Services GMbH of Leverkusen, Germany. During NAFA's 3rd Annual International Fleet Academy, Lutz Hansen, Purchasing Fleet Management Services for Bayer, will discuss how his company created and then used a global reporting tool to turn its RFI and RFQ processes upside down - resulting in tremendous savings for the 24,000-vehicle fleet. Hansen's candid discussion is exclusively for fleet managers. No suppliers or media will be able to attend this special closed-door session.
Hansen is the latest fleet expert to join the faculty at NAFA's 3rd Annual International Fleet Academy, a 3-day conference designed specifically to meet the needs of those who manage fleets outside of the United States and Canada. The conference will take place October 21-23, 2013 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ with a stellar roster of leading global fleet professionals that includes former NAFA President Gayle Pratt; Joe LaRosa, NAFA's current International Vice President; Joe Carreira (the 2012 International Fleet Manager of the Year); Giovanni Tortorici (the President of the Italian Association of Managers Buyers and Used Cars -- AIAGA); Steven Saltzgiver, Vice President - Fleet Operations, North America; and Kevin Fisher, CAFM, Vice President Strategic Fleet Operations, ARAMARK.
"The Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quote (RFQ) processes are among the most important aspects of fleet management," explained NAFA's Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "A well crafted RFI/RFQ can lead to incredible cost savings for a fleet department. Hansen will reveal the obstacles and hurdles his company faced, how they were overcome, and point out the areas which included the most significant cost savings. It's one of three eye-opening discussions on the RFI-RFQ processes that day which will benefit anyone who manages a global fleet."
The RFI-RFQ processes are further examined during two additional sessions:
What an OEM Expects and What They Deliver in Return - Representatives from major global OEM suppliers discuss their perspectives on the tender processes used by fleet managers to secure vehicles.
What a Fleet Management Company Expects and What They Deliver in Return - Representatives from major fleet management companies discuss their perspectives on the tender processes used by fleet managers to secure vehicles.
In addition to over 15 educational sessions, NAFA's International Fleet Academy offers exclusive networking opportunities and a cocktail reception and dinner each night. Early-bird registration is $650 for NAFA members and $1,105 for non-members. After August 16, registration costs are $799 for NAFA members and $1,550 for non-members. Fleet professionals may save $200 off the registration costs by joining NAFA as they register.
Attendees receive several value-added educational items to take back to the office including a ready-to-use executive summary; free subscription to International Fleet World magazine; the newly published NAFA's Global Fleet Guide; and valuable checklists for policies, RFIs, and RFQs. All total, it's a resource package valued at $2,500 - well worth the registration costs alone.
