LTA Co-Founder Delivers Business Advice at Veterans Entrepreneurial Boot Camp
Business consultant Joel Schneider of Liberty Technology Advisors will be a featured speaker at a small business conference for veterans on November 13.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2014 - Joel Schneider, co-founder of Liberty Technology Associates, Inc. ("LTA"), will lead an in-depth workshop on business acquisitions at the 2014 Veterans Entrepreneurial Boot Camp, sponsored by the Small Business Development Center at Governors State University. Schneider's presentation will be part of a full-day program of educational and networking opportunities for veterans on Thursday, November 13.
Schneider's presentation, "Eyes Wide Open - Identifying Opportunities and Obstacles in Buying a Business," will draw on his personal and professional experience as a business owner and a business technology consultant. His primary goal is to eliminate the element of surprise from the acquisition process, in order to avoid unexpected and potentially devastating costs. The workshop will cover a range of topics with importance to potential entrepreneurs, including the personal resources needed to run a business, strategies for identifying appropriate businesses to acquire, the role of professional advisors, methods for establishing business valuations, and essential due diligence research to uncover hidden business problems.
"Business ownership can be incredibly rewarding, but only if the entrepreneur is fully prepared, educated, and committed," notes Schneider. "My goal for this workshop is to give veterans a framework they can use to examine business opportunities with a realistic, well-informed perspective."
The Veterans Entrepreneurial Boot Camp will take place in the Center for the Performing Arts at Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park, Illinois. Programs are offered from 8:00am to 3:00pm on November 13. Admission is free for veterans, $40 for non-veterans.
