Usually, volunteers are selected either for parade or performance but Ambika stood fortunate to be selected for the both, and that, too, to present before a galaxy of world leaders. Ambika will now also be awarded prestigious testimonials from the President of India for her grand participation. Hailing from West Bengal (Barrackpur) Ambika has completed 145 hours of NSS service within a year, and so got this opportunity by excelling in a selection camp organized for seven Northern states. She shares: “With such a unique participation I am flowing and flying in the skies of amazement and excitement. My joys know no bounds. I am feeling like a national star. I accord applauding thanks to my university LPU, where I am being perfectly groomed and motivated by my devoted and dedicated teachers.”
Congratulating Ambika for displaying great cultural and social service talent instead of her being a technology-based student, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said: “I am happy and proud that once again one of our talented students has made others realize that nestling of students’ passions is very important. Had our teachers not identified the true worth in Ambika, she would have been devoid of the rare celebrations at this Republic Day in New Delhi. I advise all students to keep their passions alive along with their full devotion to their studies as well.”
