(1888PressRelease) April 10, 2015 - School of Architecture & Design (LSAD) of Lovely Professional University is organizing three days annual event of design and innovativeness at LPU up to 5th April 2015. Eminent scholars in the field of architecture, design & planning from top institutions including IITs, SPAs, NITs and related companies are participating to guide students through their expertise. Symbolizing Innovative Design Orientation Techniques the organization 'I-DOT 2015' is a mélange of ideas and interpretations. Event is to hold scores of workshops, seminars, design-displays and guest lectures to cover important topics in relevance to the present scenario. LPU Director General Er HR Singla inaugurated the event and bade wishes for its successful outcome.

Eminent scholars including Prof Anil Laul (Principal Architect Anangpur Building Center), Prof Utpal Sharma (Director Nirma University), Prof Dr Gaurav Raheja (IIT Roorkee), Dr Ashok Kumar (SPA New Delhi), Dean Dr Meenakshi Jain (NIT Hamirpur), Ar Nimesh Pillai (Design Lead, Future Ideas), Ar Pramod Beri (Chairman, Beri Architects and Engineers), Asst Manager Namit Kumar (RITES Ltd), Dr R M Mishra (Design Gurukul), Dr Balvinder Singh (GNDU Amritsar) and many others will guide near 600 participating students.

Dean LSAD & Chief Architect LPU, Ar Atul Singla informed that the event will provide in puts about latest trends and techniques in the architectural sphere. Ar Singla added: "The organization is to showcase many events aimed at honing the innovative design skills of individuals. We have tried our level best to make this event a platform for the design and innovation enthusiasts to get maximum benefit out of it."

Illustrative, important topics to be covered include "Affordable Housing for Urban Poor/Heritage Conservation in Towns; Eco Architecture; Universal Design; User Centric Design; Furniture as a design intervention for negative/grey spaces in architecture; Communication Design; Traffic & Transportation and its Field Application; Photography; Vastu Shastra/Colour; Information Technology and Systems in Smart Cities; Hill Architecture - an overview; and more". Many competitions are also arranged so that students prove their innovation, design excellence and knowledge.
