LookingGlass Awarded $750,000 in Grants to 5 Community Colleges & State Universities for an Enterprise Portal Grant
As a part of our commitment to support higher education institutions, LookingGlass has partnered with the Campus Consortium to offer a $150,000 LookingGlass Grant that covers the license and implementation cost of the LookingGlass Platform.
- (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2016 - LookingGlass in partnership with Campus Consortium is pleased to announce five (5) recipients for the Enterprise Portal Grant, which is designed to ease the financial burden associated with Information Technology at the institution. The grant worth in total of $150,000 covers 100 percent of the licensing costs associated with purchasing an enterprise portal platform to each institution.
LookingGlass Platform is a SaaS, enterprise portal, single sign-on, content management and mobile solution.
Campus Consortium is a partner and authorized education reseller of LookingGlass. Anjli Jain, CEO & Founder of Campus Consortium, created the Enterprise Grant Program in 2003 after she witnessed a disturbing trend in higher education: Information technology budgets were decreasing even as student and staff demands for new technologies were increasing exponentially.
Past enterprise portal grant recipients, including New Mexico State College, Paine College, and Lakeland Community College, have been able to:
-Migrate to a new portal platform, enabling cost-effective delivery of richer functionality such as offering a one-stop place for students to manage admissions, register for classes, and pick up university or class-specific announcements.
-Provide integrated, online advisory and communications services designed to improve student retention.
-Expand their market share and revenue opportunities with university-branded virtual coursework.
-Provide an online community for alumni to connect with each other and graduating students.
Higher-Ed Institutions who received Quarter 2, 2015 - Enterprise Portal Grant:
1. Shelton State Community College
2. Wilkes University
3. California University of Pennsylvania
4. College of Marin
5. University of Arkansas System (eVersity)
"We are pleased to announce and award Enterprise Portal Grants to community colleges and state universities." said Annie Hugh, Partner of the LookingGlass Platform. "It is an honor to be a part of delivering on the university's mission and we look forward to supporting the growing needs and requirements of the campus community through LookingGlass Platform."
