Ms. Schwarz-Charles has been in the real estate business for decades, working first for developers and then with buyers and sellers in the Chicago area. She has won numerous professional awards and comes to Dream Town from one of the city's other leading agencies.
Ms. Schwarz-Charles has achieved great success in Chicago's new construction market working for a well-respected developer for many years. She helped launch and promote several major city and suburban projects. She later transitioned to buyer and seller representation. Prior to transitioning to Dream Town, Ms. Schwarz-Charles was with a competing local brokerage where she built up a notable reputation within the professional community. Among her accolades is regular recognition for Sales Excellence.
Ms. Schwarz-Charles is both a lifelong Chicago resident and real estate veteran. She hails from a long line of realtors and builders. The family vocation inspired her from a very young age to learn the tricks of the trade and hone her expertise.
"I got into real estate practically at birth," Ms. Schwarz-Charles explained of her long-established real estate roots. "Looking back, I never remember not being in a real estate office. As a child I would follow my grandfather around looking at furnaces, roofs and meeting with buyers for the properties."
Ms. Schwarz-Charles said her grandparents met in a real estate firm where he was a builder and her grandmother was the receptionist. "They were my introduction to the business and to Chicago's incredible architecture," Ms. Schwarz-Charles regaled. "My grandfather built a bunch of very beautiful buildings on the North Side of Chicago. I have many fond memories growing up around those projects and talking with prospective purchasers on the sites."
In addition to providing expert buyer and seller services, Ms. Schwarz-Charles is comfortable and confident in the role of managing a sales staff. Negotiation, marketing and customer assistance are all part of the job, but she can also provide guidance in amenity selection, floor plan design and other aspects related to new construction homes.
"Lois brings a lot to the table when it comes to knowing a property and negotiating a deal," said Yuval Degani, president of Dream Town Realty. "This is her territory and she walks her clients through every transaction like a true pro."
