Long Island-Based Custom Suit Designer to Partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Joseph's Custom Clothiers, Long Island's homegrown custom suit specialist, with offices in both N.Y. and Fla., will be partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) December 08, 2012 - Joseph's Custom Clothiers, Long Island's homegrown custom suit specialist, with offices in both N.Y. and Fla., will be partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer, in a special holiday charity program, "Purchasing with a Purpose," in order to raise money for the organization.
As part of the program, Joseph's will offer, at both of its stores, a select number of tie fabrics in four different styles, all in red. Each special tie, which all feature an embroidered LLS logo on the tipping of the tie, will retail at $195 plus tax and shipping, if applicable, with $50 of the retail price going directly to LLS.
Joseph's will be working with LLS's own Erin Zammett Ruddy, who was the guest of honor at a special event at Rexer-Parkes, the location of the N.Y. Joseph's showroom, in April for her work fundraising for LLS's Man & Woman of the Year campaign. Ruddy is a 10-year survivor of chronic myelogenous leukemia, author of the book, "My So-Called Normal Life," and a former columnist for Glamour magazine. As a member of the Board of Directors for LLS's New York City Chapter, Ruddy was in a unique position to get Joseph's involved with the organization.
Of the new partnership, Joey Wendt, founder of Joseph's Custom Clothiers, said, "We always like to help out where we can for charity, and it was a pleasure working with Erin for her event earlier this year. After that, we didn't want to see the relationship between Joseph's and LLS stop. Why not keep the awareness going? And, these ties really do make a great gift for a great cause, now that the holiday season is in full swing."
