London Book Fair - Books, Cultures, Technology and Beyond
Being at the London Book Fair(LBF) every year is a special experience. This time around it's the 43rd edition of LBF and is happening from 8th-10th, April 2014, at Earls Court 1 & 2. What started as a "tabletop affair in the basement of a London Hotel", is now a permanent fixture in every publisher's calendar.
- (1888PressRelease) March 26, 2014 - The reason being that, though it has evolved into a primarily rights selling and negotiations event, it brings together all the important cogs in the publishing system. Publishers, authors, agents, printers, libraries, digital solution providers, media houses - everyone finds a space and has a purpose at LBF.
Korea has been chosen as the market focus for 2014 at the London Book Fair. This initiative has been opening up the doorways to learn about some of the biggest and exquisite markets in the publishing world. It strengthens the cultural ties between the market focus countries and the rest of the movers and shakers of the industry. By keeping the cultural aspect alive at an event of this magnitude, the finer things does shine among all the glitz, glamor and technology. With over 1700 exhibitors from over 100 nations and with the visitors count ranging in the thousands, this really is a melting pot of books, cultures and technology.
A two member executive team from AEL Data, comprising of Kumar Bikkani, Managing Director and Lindsay MacLeod, Executive Director, will be making our presence felt at the Fair. The agenda for AEL Data at the event is to reach-out to publishers in finding how their digital ambitions can be fulfilled. The ambitions are on the rise but are they specific? They are so with a number of publishers, but the majority needs a great deal of research to identify with their relevant goals. To have specific goals behind their move to digital is the key for publishers who are looking to make such a move. A place like LBF is the perfect avenue to start with for any publishers to find their broader goals and a chat with people like AEL Data can clear the smoke. Do feel free to drop in at our stall T600 on all days of the Fair. For appointments at LBF please contact gopalsingh ( @ ) aeldata dot com dot
