Lock & Key Singles Event at Kork Wine & Cheese in Miami
This interactive social event will feature a night of self-facilitated mingling and pressure-free introductions. Here's how it works: At the event, women are given stylish padlocks that they wear around their necks and the men are all given keys. Singles are then encouraged to meet and greet each other to see if their locks and keys fit.
- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2012 - For busy single professionals, what could be better than meeting up to 100 people or more in one night! Lock and Key events are a unique interactive party where women get locks, guys get keys and everyone mingles while trying to unlock to win prizes. The concept was created for the purpose of breaking the ice and increasing the odds of meeting that special someone. Unlocking the locks reaps chances to win great prizes, and maybe a great new relationship. The game repeats itself throughout the evening so people meet many people not just those who they unlock with.
"When you go to a nightclub or a party, it can be intimidating to approach people. Most quote-unquote Mixers, don't have people mixing at all, the men and women kind of hang with people they know and don't interact very much. At Lock and Key events, the whole point is to approach people and now you have an excuse," says President Darren Waldholz. "With Lock and Key Events, the stress or potential embarrassment of being rejected on the spot is eliminated."
Each time a lock and key match, the couple is given raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes from sponsors such as cold hard cash, a cruise for two, dinners for two, admission tickets, spa packages, hotel stays and more. They are also issued new locks and keys to go out and surf the crowd all over again.
"Men like it because unlike at a club or bar, they have a reason to approach women without getting any 'attitude' from them," says Kendrick Molina, the Miami Event Host. "And women like it because they can approach men without giving them the wrong idea." One recent male participant in another city was amazed at how the women thought nothing of going up to him and asking him to try his key in their lock. He said he only got 2 unlocks but left with 5 telephone numbers.
Kork Wine and Cheese is reminiscent of a 1920's speakeasy with hardwood floors, over-sized leather couches and iron chandeliers, Kork Wine & Cheese has joined the burgeoning Downtown Miami restaurant and nightlife scene. Kork's hidden gem is its underground wine cellar, a former bomb shelter from the Cuban Missile Crisis era.
For less than the cost of an average date, admission to the Lock and Key Event is just $24-$35, which typically includes a free drink and appetizers. Next event is Friday, October 26th from 7:30PM - 9:30PM at Kork Wine and Cheese, 2 South Miami Ave, Miami, Fl 33130. Suggested Ages 27- 53. Singles can register at the door the night of the event, but are strongly encouraged to visit www.LockAndKeyEvents.com/SFL to secure a reservation in advance as there is limited hardware available at each party.
