Local Washington Designer, Bryn Keith Makes Red Carpet Debut at the 2012 BET Awards Outfitting Co-Host Big Tigger
Bryn Johnson of Bryn Keith Custom Clothier designed two custom suits for co-host, Big Tigger for the 2012 BET Awards.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) July 04, 2012 - From Virginia to Hollywood, Bryn Keith Custom Designs made its red carpet debut during one of television' s most prominent nights, the 2012 BET Awards. Opening the Pre-Show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, radio and television personality, Big Tigger wowed the audience in his custom Bryn Keith ensemble. The light grey tuxedo jacket designed with Versace silk, cashmere, and wool blend was complimented with a Bryn Keith classic all-white Swiss cotton, French cuffed shirt, and a red silk pocket square. During the Pre-Show, actress Kerry Washington remarked on Big Tigger suit, which he happily attributed to Bryn Johnson, of Bryn Keith Custom Clothier.
Social media including Facebook and Twitter was abuzz about the co-host's outfit with many media outlets adding him to their best-dressed male list. The brand's mention during the show helped to build web visits to the Bryn Keith site, temporarily crashing the site for thirty minutes. Big Tigger also appeared on stage during the award show broadcast alongside Donnie Simpson, AJ, Free, Terrence J and Rocsi to pay tribute to media greats who had passed in the previous year in his Bryn Keith tuxedo.
As co-host for the BET Awards After-Show, Big Tigger walked host, Samuel L. Jackson off the main stage and onto his couch in a new Bryn Keith suit. This suit was fantastically distinctive from the Pre-Show tuxedo style with its light summer weight grey/blue color, notch lapel, two-button jacket paired with double vent flat front slacks. The suit was balanced with another Bryn Keith Classic Swiss Cotton shirt with pink with blue window pane pattern and a pink silk pocket square. Big Tigger's co-host for the evening, BET star of The Game, Wendy Raquel Robinson also commented on his suit which he promptly attributed to Virginia's own, Bryn Keith.
When asked about how this new-found Hollywood stardom will affect his dream of growing his brand into a household name, Bryn Johnson comments that, "All that's needed is mustard seed faith…." By nights end, Bryn Keith had picked a couple hundred new social media followers but more acknowledgement that his brand is ready for the Light, Camera, Action of Hollywood and beyond.
