Local PODS® Moving & Storage Fulfills Wishes for Local Youth and Non-Profits
PODS Local helps spread holiday cheer through Casa Pacifica and Santa to the Sea.
- Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) January 30, 2024 - As 2023 came to a close, PODS Local made holiday wishes a reality during Casa Pacifica’s Dove Holiday Gift Drive. Each year, children at Casa Pacifica write their wish list of 5 presents for holiday gifts on paper dove ornaments, filled with both wants and needs. When the wish is fulfilled, the gift comes with the child’s special dove ornament attached. This past year, the PODS Local team visited Casa Pacifica and gathered hundreds of doves from the Casa Dove Tree and helped fulfill holiday wishes for the Casa Pacifica children.

In addition to their involvement with Casa Pacifica's Dove Holiday Wishes, PODS Local also played a role in this year's Santa to the Sea race. They supplied PODS containers, used as “Santa’s Sleigh”, for the toy drive at the event and helped collect toys for children in need. PODS helped the local Toys for Tots toy drive as well as Food Share’s Can Tree Food drive to stock up local food pantries with thousands of essential canned goods. In total, PODS Local donated over $45,000 of services and gifts to local charities.
As one of the most successful franchisees in North America, Local PODS, under the leadership of Yapp and Al Jonas, has donated over $1.5 million in logistics, providing PODS containers, trucks, fuel, and associates to 100 Central Coast charities. To name a few, Local PODS has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, Casa Pacifica, FoodShare, The City Center, Ventura Education Partnership, the Ventura Neighborhood for Learning, Santa to the Sea, Storyfest, Artwalk, and Veterans Stand Down events.
