Local Pizza Maker Wins National Award
Local businesses Pizza Capers Noosa Heads and Pizza Capers Tewantin and their passionate pizza making owners were recently awarded with Pizza Capers Community Engagement Award, a prestigious national prize.
- (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2013 - Both stores are owned and operated by husband and wife team David and Laura Heraud, who won the award ahead of 126 stores across Australia.
Pizza Capers Managing Director Peter Jones said David and Laura were nominated because of their outstanding commitment to their regular customers.
"Pizza Capers Noosa and Tewantin have being going from strength to strength thanks to David and Laura's dedication to providing the best quality product and highest level of customer service," he said.
Franchisee David Heraud said the nomination was a pleasant surprise, and testament to the community spirit and passion of the team behind the pizza make bench. "We couldn't have been happier to have received the prestigious Community Engagement Award," said David.
"To know that our hard work and passion for our community has put us at the top of our brand system is a huge achievement, and one that we are extremely proud of.

Pizza Capers Noosa Heads and Tewantin have supported many local clubs, community groups, schools and foundations such as the Sunshine Beach Surf Club Nippers and the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, where they donated store profits as well as their team members donating their tips.
Dave is the current Chairperson of the Noosa Relay For Life, in support of the Cancer Council, where he was also the captain of the team that took out the award for the highest funds raised. At Dave's initiation, he has also started a mentoring program teaching young team members real life business skills.
